Job Description
Junior Purchaser, reporting to and working closely with the Purchaser will assists with projects that have been
identified to create efficiencies in the purchasing and supply chain management of LWHA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Working toward Supply Chain Management Professional Designation (SCMP) is a strong asset
Working towards or complete Community College graduate in supply chain management area is
preferred, but other administrative diploma’s may be considered
Experience with Broader Public Sector Procurement Requirements and Guidelines considered an asset
2-5 years of recent purchasing/logistics experience or office management
Sound working knowledge of medical, surgical and other relevant products, services and technologies.
Experience with quality improvement, change management, purchasing system, and excel experience an
asset.

POSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Administrative tasks such as file creation and record retention to ensure compliance with BPS & other
purchasing policies and procedures
Supply chain system maintenance to support reporting efficiencies, including contract, supply chain and
contractor database creation and maintenance
Analyze supply chain data to recommend improvements in our procurement and distribution processes –
including inventory reduction, standardization, and cost savings
Lead, support or participate in key activities or action plans as identified on applicable Operational Plans.
Active departmental meetings and team huddles.
